Precipitation and Temperature Report – Blahová and Surroundings (Jún 2026)

Summary Analysis for the End of the First Half of the Year: June Measurements and Micro-regional Data

Precipitation and Temperature Report – Blahová and Surroundings (Jún 2026)

At the conclusion of the first half of 2026, data from automated meteorological stations and sensor systems across Blahová and surrounding areas reveal a month of extreme contrasts, defined by a prolonged heatwave and a severe precipitation deficit.

1. Temperature Extremes and Late-Month Heatwave

In June, the monthly average temperature in Blahová reached 22.6 °C, presenting a sharp contrast between the first and second halves of the month. A milder period prevailed from June 1 to June 15 (with an average of 18.4 °C). However, from June 16 onward, an unusually intense mass of hot air arrived, pushing the average temperature for the latter half of the month to 26.8 °C.

Instruments recorded 13 heat days (days with Tmax ≥ 30 °C), with temperatures exceeding 35 °C on 5 consecutive days. The warmest day of the summer so far was June 29, when temperatures peaked at 38.5 °C. Additionally, 3 tropical nights were logged (June 27, 28, and 30), during which morning minimums remained strictly above 20 °C.

3. Precipitation Deficit Compared to the Kráľová pri Senci Climate Normal

June rainfall was highly unevenly distributed across the micro-region, stemming mostly from localized showers during the first half of the month. When compared against the long-term precipitation normal for Kráľová pri Senci(57.2 mm), a substantial rainfall deficit is evident across all stations.

Micro-regional Rainfall Summary: Even the wettest location (Lehnice-Sása) received only 60.3% of its normal monthly rainfall. In Blahová, the deficit reached 35.2 mm (38.5% of the normal), which—combined with late-month heat—intensified soil drought conditions.

4. Conclusion and Automated Data Logging

Precise readings from automated logging systems (MQTT, Home Assistant, and CSV exports) accurately captured June's atmospheric shifts. As the first half of the year closes, soil moisture reserves in Sárrét have depleted significantly due to the hot, dry conditions of late June, requiring careful monitoring through the rest of the summer.
